COACHING DETAIL
IELTS Coaching
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exam is one of the most widely recognized and accepted English language proficiency tests around the world. It is designed to assess the language skills of individuals who plan to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries. The IELTS exam is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English.
Two Versions of IELTS Exam
There are two main versions of the IELTS exam: the Academic module and the General Training module. The choice between these modules depends on the purpose for which you are taking the test.
-
Academic Module
This version is primarily intended for individuals applying to universities and other academic institutions for higher education. It assesses a test-taker's ability to understand and use complex academic language, as well as their readiness to undertake academic studies in an English-speaking environment.
-
General Training Module
This version is suitable for individuals seeking to migrate to English-speaking countries for work or immigration purposes. It evaluates practical language skills needed for everyday life and work situations, focusing on social and workplace communication.
IELTS Exam Stages
-
Listening
Test-takers listen to a range of recordings and answer questions related to them. This section evaluates their ability to comprehend various accents, dialects, and spoken discourse.
-
Reading
This section presents a variety of texts, ranging from descriptive and factual to complex and analytical. Test-takers answer questions to demonstrate their understanding of the texts.
-
Speaking
The speaking section assesses a test-taker's spoken English skills through a face-to-face interview with an examiner. It consists of three parts: an introduction and interview, a short speech on a familiar topic, and a discussion related to the speech.
-
Writing
There are two tasks in the writing section. In the Academic module, Task 1 requires test-takers to describe visual information, while Task 2 involves writing an essay on a given topic. In the General Training module, Task 1 involves writing a letter, and Task 2 is an essay.
